Beyond Burnout: A Moonlit Detox
February's snow moon is here. You might think this means hunkering down but is actually means...
This weekend a full moon will be making its way across the sky.
February's full moon is ominously known as the Snow Moon, Ice Moon, Bone Moon and Hunger Moon. February is the month most likely to bring snow and cold snaps, so it's easy to join the dots between weather and name. You might think this means hunkering down but it’s actually a time for cleansing. The Snow Moon is a chance to ready for spring.
But, let's take a sec to appreciate that we're DEFINITELY at the last push of winter... 5pm hits and it's actually STILL LIGHT OUT! Spring blooms are tentatively peeking out the soil in search of sun. We should all follow suit and rise from the muck that's keeping us compressed. Better times ARE ahead of us.
With the snow moon upon us, and spring on our heels, now is a good time to clear out clutter. Here's what to do.
Pick one area to focus on (your wardrobe, you fridge, your not-so-friendly friends lists) and soak in the current state of this area:
What's important to you?
What do find useful?
What helps and hinders?
What’s a distraction?
What can you discard?
What brings you joy?
Happy cleansing!
